The Change Ninja Book Awards 2025
Entries close 24th October
Winners announced 3rd November
Ninjas work by stealth, staying under-the-radar getting great stuff done without others noticing what they're up to. This is great for Change Ninjas but less great for budding authors who have something worth sharing, new ideas and thoughts to help others do their very own Ninja’ing.
Marketing your ideas and book is time consuming, energy draining and often unsuccessful. Without the experience, know-how, budgets and PR, great books are often left unnoticed. Where do you even begin to find them in a world of best sellers and AI driven algorithms focused on making money?
And don’t talk to me about the many many book awards that are self serving, self nominating, money making schemes, where books are largely unread and winners selected based on who knows what criteria.
But it’s not all bad. There is a great community for the independent worker/writer, whether it's on social media (like Linked In), through communities like Linked-In for Breakfast or large events like The Change Awards. There is a passion for learning and a need for new voices. New voices that need a way to get heard.
And so I decided to launch the Change Ninja Book Awards for under-the-radar, and hopefully soon to be, masterpieces. Books recommended by others, books without the fanfare and machinery behind them, books worth sharing and hopefully worth reading.
This is a Ninja awards programme. Focused on change and learning, breaking the rules and most importantly being human.

The Rules
The books can't be self nominated. They must be recommended by somebody who has read it and can vouch for it. This is the judging element because a) I don’t have time to read them all and b) we all get different things from books. If somebody says your book is worthy of the award I trust them.
The books must be independent, self published or smaller publishing groups, the ones without the big fanfare and PR machines.
There are no specific categories for entry keeping but they must be either business books or self development books. Specific award categories will be created based on the books nominated.
If they are in the big best seller lists already - they will be excluded
If they have a heap of reviews on amazon, and I mean a heap (number to be determined) they will be excluded. They already have a big audience and don't need the Ninjas help.
No one will need to pay any money and no prizes will be given. Just good old recognition and support for fellow authors.
Authors will be contacted and their permission given to be included in the list.
Entries close on 24th October.
